CHURCH BAR + WOODFIRED PIZZA

ABOUT

Church Bar + Woodfired Pizza was opened 21 September, 2008 by local cousins, Matt Harrowsmith and James Derriman.

As it approaches 10 years since first opening, Church bar continues to flourish as one of the Central West's most popular dining and drinking spots for locals and tourists alike.

Church Bar is also proud to have served thousands of Charles Sturt University students over the years and even prouder to have employed so many great characters during their studies.

With one decade of delicious Pizza's nearly complete, we're already looking forward to the next one.

SISTER VENUES

Station Bar — Located in Katoomba, Station Bar was developed as Church Bar's younger sister. Station Bar also boasts a large woodfired oven and a wide variety of local and imported drink options. Definitely worth a visit if you're sightseeing or passing through the Blue Mountains.

The George Hotel — Owned and operated by one of Church Bar's creators, The George is renowned as one of the Central West's premiere Gastro Pubs. You'll find it literally around the corner from us and well worth checking out if you're unable to book a table with us.

HISTORY

Church Bar sits on Ribbon Gang Lane which was named after the infamous 'Ribbon Gang.'

In 1830, ten members of the Ribbon Gang were hanged on charges of murder, bush ranging and horse thieving.

It stands as the largest public execution in Bathurst's history.

Church Bar is housed in the old Anglican Church School House and continues to wow visitors with its grandeur.
